Tiny snapshot of Rome 📸

Colors, textures, layers, an adorable ape selling plants, cobblestones streets, beautiful blue shutters welcoming in the slivers of sunshine, old building walls with the paint peeling off just-so and a few modern cars in the background to remind us it’s 2021.

This is a tiny snapshot of Rome. These are the kinds of tiny details that still make me feel enamored when I walk around corners and see them. My perfect little movie set of a city..

Fun fact: this little vehicle is called an ‘ape’ which is the Italian word for bee 🐝. The reason? Because it’s little motor buzzes so loudly that it hums like a bumblebee.

And also? Yes. I’m really ready to go out for meals again. And ready for less restrictions and ready for you (and all the people) to come back and enjoy the beauty that is Rome. That’s all. Sunday love for my city, with a tiny sprinkling of “ma quando finisci lockdown... spero presto”
