My pelvis is my foundation 🌳
I pinky promise, understanding my pelvic floor is what allows me to balance on this standup paddle board.
It is what gives me balance, period.
It supports my spine and protects my abdominal and sexual organs.
✨ The pelvis is the root of your sense of safety in the world.
✨Awareness of your pelvis helps you have better sex (!!) and increases overall confidence!
Last November, I went to Bali to assist @zunayoga on a 200-hr teacher training.
Three of the girls on the training had broken their pelvises.
… and it was only then that I realized— I had too. I fell really hard on my tail bone when I was 17. Which meant, my pelvis had been broken.
I was heavier and super unsure in my body. I had a backpack crammed full of textbooks and I slipped in a puddle and fell, hard.
I landed smack on my tailbone.
It cracked, it smushed, the wind was knocked out of me.
I sat on a blow-up plastic donut for months.
Is it any coincidence that this was when I began exploring sexually? Memories flooded in as I remembered my senior year in high school.
Bali’s pretty magic, y’all. That same month I was fortunate enough to be introduced to @return_to_sacred.
Kay is a healer, a pelvic floor specialist, an educator, and an angel of a human being. Her knowledge and gentleness are super human.
The best part? Next month, she’ll be in Rome, teaching about the female pelvis!!
It’s a two-day training suitable for all levels. If you’re a teacher who works with bodies, this is for you.
If you’re a woman who has a pelvis, you have so much to learn, regardless of your profession. This. Is. For. You.
August 23-34 at @theplexus.it ☀️
We will move, learn, dance, experience, and become more aware of our pelvises so we can be more firmly planted in this big beautiful world.
p.s. if you’re *still* not sure if this is ‘for you’, I promise you, it is. This stuff will change your life whether you’re a molecular biologist, an elementary school teacher or a professional singer— cause, duh, we all use our pelvises, every single day. You deserve to know your body from the inside out, we all do.
