“Il giorno del Giudizio universale, per gli abitanti di Amalfi che andranno in Paradiso, sarà un giorno come tutti gli altri” - Renato Fucini
...on judgment day, for the people who live in Amalfi and go to heaven- it will be a day like any other day.
What can I possibly say? I’m really starting to get used to this whole Italian summer thing. Woke up on the Amalfi Coast at a villa that was so utterly fantastic that the entire trip was one big ‘pinch me’ moment. I sang karaoke to Italian songs (badly). I swam in the sea, I ate amazing food, I spent time with incredible people who already feel like old friends. I ate meals in delicious company and celebrated the birthday of a friend. I taught yoga on a coast overlooking the Mediterranean sea, and more than that, I taught in Italian the whole time. What a whirlwind beautiful moment in time and life.
Feeling overwhelmingly grateful, in love with my adopted country, stuffed with more mozzarella then I can possibly explain, salty from the sea, and full of oh so much goodness. Gratitude. Sheer awe and gratitude.
