Also and most importantly, can we please give a hearty thank you to the brilliant @brooke.echarte for pointing out that the umbrella pines look like little berets on the seagulls in this picture?

I, of course, have a lot of feelings about being on this terrace and getting to see this view and running into friends and colleagues at this site and the feeling of belonging and the fact that I can’t imagine a life where I don’t have easy access to this view (and luckily, for now I don’t have to).
