The day I realized all the things that went on below my neck were super important was the day my life truly began to change for the better 🤸‍♀️

For me it was pretty recently- almost exactly 5 years ago, during my yoga teacher training with @zunayoga.

Real talk? It’s an ongoing process for me and I regularly find myself taking a step forward and a few steps back.

Some of you are lucky, lots of you, in fact— you played a lot of competitive sports or danced or simply had the gift of understanding your body from a younger age and staying connected. You have good balance. You understand proprioception. You just: get it.

Some of you might have had that connection, but later you started to lose it or sever it (unintentionally) and you’re now looking to return to a place of connection.

And some of you? Some of you have absolutely no idea what I’m talking about above and it’s y’all I want to encourage the very most.

Find a way to move your body that brings pleasure and enjoyment. It could be exercise in the traditional sense or it could be doing a silly dance or being playful or jumping up and down or spinning in circles ‘til your dizzy. It could be self pleasure or it could be martial arts. The possibilities are limitless.

Fun fact, I had my intern make some infographics cause writing is something I love but creating graphics is something I don’t.

I had sent her a bunch of thoughts a few weeks ago and this was one and when I read it today it reminded me of my own medicine.

So maybe this is totally self serving, but regardless.

Go live in your body, and enjoy your Monday!

Big, big love 💛
