Some delightful words that I’ve saved and/or have shown up for me in the last two weeks ✨

A friendly reminder that you deserve rest and pleasure and play and sensuality and joy (even when it’s hard, especially then).

A little exercise I’ve been coming back to recently:

1. Put your phone down, darlin’
2. Set a timer for 5 minutes (eventually more, but start manageable)
3. Sit in front of a mirror and look at your (sweet) self in the eyes
4. Notice what comes up, but don’t stay *too* attached to it at first.
5. Let yourself and your body feel light, playful, loving
6. Now, pay attention. What words are you saying to yourself? Would you say them to your best friend?
7. As you ask yourself this, try to really picture it: your bff is in front of you and saying the things your head is saying to you. How does he/she react?
8. Feel into your body where there is tightness around these words and send love/breath/goodness there.
9. Repeat as many times as ya wanna. See how the experience shifts over time.

Get it? Oftentimes we can have such a critical inner voice to ourselves but we’d never allow our loved ones to say such harsh things.

This has been one of the single most helpful and growth-inspiring practices of the last few years!

And now, the question is: should I share more like this?
