A yoga retreat in south-west France ✨

At a chateau that felt like Beauty and The Beast, seeped in wisdom after 1,000+ years on this earth. With a group of women who were instantly willing to go deep, be playful, be joyful, share themselves 💛

Effervescent 🥂

And the best part? I was a guest. An attendee. This was just for me. I worked for @zunayoga last winter and that was magic. I’ve led/co-led 11 yoga retreats in the last 3 years but, damn, attending one was really somethin’ special.

Turns out all you need is a little time being completely and totally led by someone you trust to recharge to 100% 🧘‍♀️

A huge appreciation, round of applause, hats off, chef’s kiss to the indomitable woman that is @katherine.girling and her ability to lead effortlessly with grace and love and compassion and so much humor. Girl. You’re the best.

Next. Damn damn damn I love women. I love learning from them and with them and teaching them and being with them and the incredible amount of depth that can be created in just a few days of retreat.

I feel grateful and I feel full and I feel inspired.

I believe retreating from the world *can* help you save the world, or at least help you reclaim little tendrils and bits of your soul that you might feel like you’ve left behind.

I have eaten more desserts than I had all summer.

And my belly is honestly pretty happy (all things considered).

Here’s to 3-4 hours of daily yoga and meditation and here’s to fresh fig pies and plum tarts and pan au chocolat and apple millefeulle and chocolate cakes and hazelnut pie and a week long love affair with butter.
