“If you’re a person with no one passion but many interests it may help to think about them enriching each other rather than distracting them from each other.
If you’ve come to Rome to truly expereince Rome then exploring an enchanting side alley or enjoying a big bucatini bowl won’t keep you from the Colosseum.
If you’ve come to life to truly experience life, there’s enough room for many interests, curiosities, activities that spark enthusiasm and quiet nights doing none of it.” —Beautiful words by @bymariandrew
Here we are, still in quarantine. I think, like many people, I am equal parts enjoying and hating it, still trying to make sense of things, still reaching for answers. I remember when I read this lovely piece a year ago I adored the reference to Rome and how it felt like it was written just for me: Am I a tour guide? A yoga teacher? A writer? All of the above?
Now from this place I look at it and think: yes, the quiet nights doing none of it are just fine too.
