Hi, I’m Rachel.

I’m in my “being” era, or at least my “being” season.

Like most of us, I used to (and often still do) define myself by the classic opening line “what do you *do*” or “what are you doing *now*?” and in this current season it has given me the sweet and challenging task of like, you know, defining it.

…what do I do?

I give you permission to be yourself.

…how do I do it?

-I live as authentically as possible. I am myself.

-I embody my body. In practice and teach yoga.

-I run retreats (in Italy and beyond) filled with a deliciously curated schedule of movement and all the other practices that helped me arrive here.

-I offer 1-on-1 somatic coaching, both virtually and in person (in Rome).

-I host monthly women’s circle in Rome where I create connection through movement and sharing and dance and play.

-I see beauty all around me and I share it with you. My hope is that this helps you to see beauty all around you. Life is filled with it, in the big and small things.

-I lead culturally curious experiences where I take visitors on an indulgent visit through Rome, a city I have adored since I first moved in 2009. We eat. We drink. We learn. We wander. We explore. The experience combines my knowledge of history with my passion for Rome, Romans, and Italian culture in general. This is a fluffy way to say “I’m a (occasional) tour guide”, but I promise you it really is so much more.

-I write. I write and I create connections and patterns between my words and my actions. I write for fun and I write for my mental health and I write and I write and I write.

-I rest. I give myself permission to live a life that feels right to me.

So here I am. Being. It’s a lovely season of rest. And restoration. And when I turn down the dial that winds me up to ‘be productive’, I must admit I certainly do love doing a little less.

Here’s your permission: take (at least) an hour of time to just be this weekend.

You deserve it, and don’t have to do anything to earn it 🫶
