Authenticity.

A buzz word. Slightly overused at times. It’s a nearly impossible standard in a curated online life but a very achievable one in a real day-to-day one.

Living authentically means you’ve examined your insides enough to know that they match what you present on the outside.

Authenticity. I’ve been examining, unfolding, unfurling. I’ve been growing, shedding old patterns and shedding some new ones, too.

Looking at values, society, culture. Throwing away standards that don’t quite fit anymore. Embracing new ones. Straddling the fine delicate line between oversharing and being fake.

One of my constant personal roadblocks is: how to express the “whole of me” in this little platform.

I want to tell y’all what I do. I empower women to embody their bodies. I empower anyone who will listen to do the big scary things that are beating against the inside of their chests. I acknowledge my own authenticity, which gives you permission to see yours, too.

I carve out little pieces of myself and share what I can, when I can. It was terrifying at first, and now sometimes it feels almost… perfunctory.

I sometimes share big serious things, but I’m real light and playful irl. I’ve dedicated my life to being authentic with myself and with others.

I want that for you, too. I want it for all of us. What does life look like when you shed just one layer of performative behavior and express your real self?

Maybe posting a serious (professional) picture of me in my non-styled kitchen inspires you. Maybe these words do.

Whatever it is, a little realness in this world goes a long, long way 🫶
