Surround yourself with people who inspire you

I’m rarely at a loss for words but today it’s a little difficult to articulate just how grateful
I am for the group(s) of people in my life.

I’ve always been really, really extroverted. I love being around people so much that for years of my life (really until 2020…) I kinda wasn’t ever alone.

After a fair amount of soul-searchin’ and questioning over the past few years, I must admit I’ve come to the conclusion that actually— even *I* need time alone.

But that’s not what this is about. What this is about is surrounding yourself with people you love.

A week before @ireinrome bachelorette party, I realized I could go and I made a snap decision, got a plane ticket, went to Ibiza for the first time.

And? I got to spend 4 perfect days with a group of women who inspire me and make me think, who make me laugh.

Women who are so confident in their own skin that I can’t help but feel even more comfortable in mine.

Women where it doesn’t ever feel weird or sticky to say what’s on your mind, who are perfectly comfortable stating their opinions. Women who are comfortable being naked and don’t obsess constantly over their (beautiful) bodies.

Women who certainly, without a shadow of a doubt, know how to have fun.

Surround yourself with women like this, surround yourself with humans who make you realize that your opinion counts, that what you want and need matters. With people who take care of you, with people you can rely on.

I’ve been damn lucky in life thus far, and I’ve got more people to be thankful for than I could possibly list here. So I’ll just say— not just to the gorgeous women I spent this weekend with, but for all the people in my life who inspire me (and put up with me!):

Friends are the best thing in the whole world and I feel so, so, so lucky.

Oh and finally and perhaps most importantly, friends who will gladly make fun of you and keep ya honest are *such* a key factor. Grateful af to all of ya 💛
