This magnificent villa makes me want to time travel to a time where everything around it was wild and nature..

I’ve been musing a whole lot about nature recently. And it’s power and it’s magic and the fact that city life is kinda far from it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a city girl. Or I was. Or I am but also? I’m a nature and mountains and barefoot kinda girl too. The contrast of wanting both is kinda in line with my general feelings of not liking to pick favorites, ever.

So, anyway. This beautiful home is located inside the public park that is closest to my house, Villa Pamphili. I’ve been visiting it since 2009 when I first came to Rome. Back then I was so enamored with the city that I didn’t relish in the opportunity to get back to nature like I do now.

During the first quarantine (last March-May) public parks were closed. I mean, everything was closed, so parks were too.

In the last year, I have come to appreciate bare feet in the grass, squishy between my toes, and even doing yoga outdoors (something I used to not enjoy as much cause it distracted me too much).

And maybe that’s what this post and this villa is about to me today. Distractions. After spending a brilliant wellness weekend with my brilliant friend and co-host @morganickitchen I feel like I want to make even more of an effort in my life to stay present and not be distracted.

As summer approaches (and we’re halfway through 2021!?!) I want to make time to stay present even as things bloom and blossom all around me. Yoga has taught me that and I’m so damn humbled by it, and yeah. That’s my thoughts for today
