This is not real time

What it is is a picture of the city I love the most at the time of day I love the most, taken about a month ago when one of the humans I love the most was visiting town (@katcking).

I’m posting it because I had this idea that when I left Rome (it’s been 11 days now!) I’d write a temporary “goodbye Rome” post.

I’m back in December so it’s really just a “see ya later”, but my idea was to introduce my visit to Bali through proclaiming my love to Rome.

The best laid plans, amirite?

So instead, here I am, better late than never.

A story: when the teacher training I’m assisting on (with @zunayoga) began last week we had to say one #funfact about ourselves during opening circle. Mine was that I’ve been inside this magestic building over 500 times (and no, I’ve never actually counted, that’d be way too organized for me).

I’m aware I have other fun facts I could’ve contributed, but somehow, it’s always important to me to connect myself to Rome.

Traveling again feels: well, it’s magic

It feels easy because I’m lucky and I’ve never found travel super hard. It feels wild because it reminds me how big and vast and different this planet we live on is. It feels lovely because I have a purpose here.

My purpose is to assist in the transformation that inevitably happens after a three-week yoga teacher training intensive. My purpose is to be present. My purpose is to be here, now.

And the wildest thing is: I don’t have a marketing ask or a reason for posting or anything except I really feel like writing and sharing on here again and I can wait to (try) to be more active on here and share some Bali with y’all.
