!And here I am

Let’s be honest? A state of deep meditation is not an attractive look, per se. This is 100% not posed. In fact when I saw it (thanks @buongiorno.yoga ) I had a whole series of thoughts, so here they are (in no particular order):

💡My slack jaw means I’m real deep in it, so the first thing I have to say is: If I can go into a deep state of silent seated meditation then you certainly can too.

💡 My brain, my mind, is crazy. Can you relate? Meditation is one of the most direct and profound tools I know to calm it down.

💡I have a *lot* of resistance to seated meditation.

💡I’m really proud of the gal in this photo (yours truly) and how far I’ve come over the past 5 years since completely my teacher training with @zunayoga. I have learned to *truly* sit with myself and it may have taken 30+ years, but here we are.

💡Sometimes “humble bragging” still feels sticky to me and I want to get over it because there is nothing more gorgeous than hearing people praise themselves and celebrate their very existence.

But really. Think about that last one.

Would you rather have a conversation with someone where they were telling you something they were proud of having accomplished or where they were complaining about something in their lives?

And I digress. The point? Meditation is really powerful. And also no, I don’t meditate every single day in my “normal” life but I do know that the more I meditate, the more uncomplicated my life tends to become.

All of these seemingly non-connected touch point are related to something much grander and much bigger and I still don’t know exactly what it is or how to put it in words so for now: here’s to #transformation, my theme for the rest of 2022.

If you’re curious about anything I wrote up there, send me a dm or ask a question in the comments below. I truly love nothing more than sharing and connecting with people, in life and on this little platform.
