A story told in two pictures.

Picture 1:
This is a story of a church. So the other day I went to see the Torlonia marbles. I was with two tour guide friends, both named Tiffany. Afterwards we took some pictures and told some stories about our mutual love of Rome.
The story of the small church in the bottom left hand corner of this photo was new to me and I cannot thank @tiffanyparksrome enough for telling it.
The Church of Saint Rita used to be closer to Piazza Venezia and when they built the Vittoriano (the big white monument dedicated to the first king of Italy) it was deconstructed and moved to this site.
The metaphor for this transformative and chaotically beautiful year? We can always deconstruct and reconstruct ourselves. We are capable of rewriting the stories and narratives we’ve been repeating our whole lives. We are not fixed in one place or stuck. Even when we feel like we are, especially then. We can take ourselves apart and rebuild. Our renewal, our rebuilding our revival can look linear or completely backwards. We can unravel because of a situation that is out of our control and still we can come back stronger and wiser. What if you allow this period to deconstruct you? Allow yourself to change and mold and bend and break and rebuild. Allow it all and trust the process.

Picture 2:
This is a story of “stellar advice, easier said than done, isn’t it?!”
The end.
