These days are pretty unforgettable!

There’s a fair amount of panic and a hefty dose of speculation and a lot of uncertainty and fear and all the things.

But, my goodness, we as human beings are historically quite resilient. It’s not that I’m not preoccupied. I am. But I’m also in awe at just how much beauty there is surrounding me and how rapidly we’re all discovering newer and deeper layers of ourselves. Like a city that constantly unearths new ancient history we are continuing to excavate ourselves as well.

Speculation is a really easy way to take us out of the present moment and allows us to avoid whatever it is that we are feeling. Takes one to know one, this is definitely one of my favorite forms of escapism. So what if we try to take this final October weekend to relax into exactly what is happening? What if we don’t reach for immediate answers? What if we allow the overwhelm to be present but don’t give in to it?

Deep breaths. Appreciate beauty in the present moment, enjoy the absurdity of empty piazzas and sunny days and gently remind ourselves that this too, shall pass.
