There is beauty, there is always beauty!
It is mostly impossible to fully prepare for something even if it’s inevitable. It is also pretty on brand for me to want to figure things out before they’ve happened.
So, since March we’ve known there was going to be a rise in covid cases in Europe in the fall. The second wave was predicted by everyone. Here we are. Funny how you can brace yourself against something so resolutely and still be surprised when it happens, right? It’s scary and there is a lot of unknown. There is a lot of fear.
And still there is beauty. Still we can try our best not to get too lost in speculating and creating future scenarios that don’t yet exist.
How do we adequately prepare for a second wave when we (globally) have never lived through a pandemic? I find myself torn between panic and resignation. Between feeling totally overwhelmed and completely at peace.
Like a sunset, no two days are the same. They never have been, they never will be. So, yeah. Here I am. Here we are. And me? I’m thanking my lucky stars that I live in a city that inspires and delights me every single day. Appreciating the beauty. Staying present. Staying safe too. Releasing the need to know what’s next... or at least trying my very best!
