If you do a 100-hr yoga training and don’t post a lot about it on social media: Did it really happen? 🤔

In a fast paced always-moving-forward world, how does one take just a little more time to digest our experiences?

Obviously, it doesn’t have to be processed on social media- but here I am.

Another training under my belt/to add to my growing toolbox of somatic + yoga + body-oriented knowledge.

I did it.

In December I joined my dear friend/fellow retreat leader/ and now teacher @teodoyogaguitar on a 100-hr yin/yang training in Ubud at @theyogabarn The training was heavily supported by the amazing anatomy knowledge of @michaelyoga.pt .

I learned so much.

And I got to connect with so many amazing humans that it makes me smile just thinking about each of them.

Most importantly, I was able to refresh my knowledge base for teaching and deep dive into my own body, my own stories, my own history.

It wasn’t always pleasant but damn it was good.

Fascia is connective tissue.

It literally holds our past memories. The good ones and the bad ones. There’s been accumulating proof in the fields of science and medicine to prove this statement over the past decade. It’s indisputable.

So what do we do about that?

We learn. We move our bodies. We practice somatic movements with people who know where to target.

As I learned in this training: we use quick movements to heat ourselves up and long yin holds to melt it (whatever it is for you) out of us.

I’m constantly amazed at how little I used to know about the human body. I’m constantly amazed at how much I still have to learn.

And yet, and yet: I believe in the body’s ability to heal. And I’m SO ready to start teaching more of it in Rome.
