Hi friends! Happy New Year! Happy January! What a world, right?

My goodness it’s been a while since I’ve posted. It feels like forever and it also feels like yesterday. It’s been a glorious time warp and it’s been exactly what I needed and I am oh so grateful for, well, everything.

This photo? Definitely not real time, not even a little bit. It’s been queued up in my drafts for a while now. Today my beautiful friend @morganickitchen wrote a gorgeous love letter to #Rome with a picture of this beauty as the inspiration. Her inspiration inspired me to post and frankly it made me a little more tingly about the fact that I get to come back to this beautiful fairytale city with it’s perfect golden hour and it’s overwhelm of beauty in less than a week.

And? My goodness Asheville, NC has a big old piece of my heart too. The downside? No matter where I go in the world I miss people and places and things that I love. The upside? No matter where I go in the world (but especially Rome and Asheville) I have people and places and things that I love.

Today especially I feel quite showered in golden light, just like the church in this picture. Pretty excited about my last few days here, pretty excited about all the magic that’s in store for 2022
