Living in the most beautiful city in the world is a head trip sometimes 🌟
How easy it is to forget the beauty in the mundane. To forget to take a picture, jot down a word or two in your notebook. To forget to take a deep breath and come back to the body.
My next weeks are dedicated to unplugging and getting ready for FOUR retreats this fall.
When deadlines are a little further than ‘right under my nose’ I get lost in day-to-day life sometimes and I forget to share. But this is the point: it’s the day to day moments that lead any of us to having the beautiful peak moments.
It’s the collection of words we say to ourselves, desires we express (out loud or in our heads), and the ability to cull and listen to what’s going on in our heads (and hearts and bodies).
I do it too: get caught up in the to-dos and what’s nexts.
I find myself with each passing summer a little less interested in the sleepless nights and staying up til 4am and more interested in the ‘waking up early, eating gelato in the middle of the day’. The going to the park and laying in the grass.
I’m here to remind you today something that’s come up a lot (again/always):
This platform is a highlights reel. You’re right on track. You’re just on time. Whatever it is you’re hoping to reach, you won’t get there any quicker by being tense and bulldozing your way there. Go slower, be present, take deep breaths. You’re doing it right ☀️
