“Emptiness the starting point — in order to taste my cup of water you must first empty your cup. Drop all your preconceived and fixed ideas and be neutral. Do you know why this cup is useful? Because it is empty. Empty your mind. Be formless, shapeless like water. Now you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, it becomes the bottle. You put water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now water can flow or it can crash. Be water my friend.” - Bruce Lee

This fountain is dedicated to water 💦 It is a celebration of all things related to it- the sea when it is calm, the sea when it is tempestuous. The fact that water brings us both health and abundance. The aqueduct that brings the water that feeds it.

I love the above quote because it relates both to water (and hence the #TreviFountain) and to the current situation in the world. There’s a lot of new information coming at us these days. Rules are changing faster than some of us (especially here in Italy!) can keep up with and we’re all trying to stay afloat, adjust and readjust. Here’s to attempting to take Bruce Lee’s advice and be as neutral as possible. Like water, everything changes, flows, and moves in unexpected directions. Be water, my friends
